
The more testing you do, the longer you delay a game release/update, the more it costs you to pay the testers. Testing is hard, boring and of course costs money. When you test, you can't prove there are no bugs, only that you didn't find any. Pretty much any software will have some bugs, they are impossible to avoid. However, I do know a few things that might explain some of it.Ī game like this is complex, it has many, many, MANY lines of code. Part of me still thinks they can and should do better. I haven't added any mods and I don't think I have 'custom content', unless you count the downloads from the Sims store.Īs a programmer, I can see why.

My game will sometimes just completely crash out, losing anything that wasn't saved.

As a Sims player, yeah it disappoints me too.
